Distance vs. Displacement
Distance is the total you traveled, you have to add the lengths you have traveled to get the total distance. An example is if i walk 900 m to school and then another 900 m back i have walked a total of 1,800 m and my total distance is 1.800 m. Displacement is the difference from your start location to your end location, you have to find the length between the starting point and ending point. An example of displacement is if i walk 900 m to school and then another 900 m back i have a displacement of 900 m because the length of my starting point to my ending point is 900 m.

Metric Units
Thing that use the metric units are:
1. When you buy light bulbs it says how many watts they are.
2. At the doctors they use the metric system to weigh you.
3. Most computer use the metric system to measure the data you have like gigabytes and megabytes.
I think they use the metric system because it is more accurate on data and it is also easier to convert the measurements into different units.

Estimating Distances
I think that the front of my house is about 20 Feet. I think this estimate is reasonable because most house in East Boston aren't smaller than 15 ft or bigger then 30. And I also quess this because 10 ft are is really small so I doubled it and estimated 20 ft.

Distracted Driving
Distracted driving is bad because you are not focused on the road and could crash into other cars or go off the road. Once me and my cousin were on the highway and my cousin was texting and driving and there were 3 road connected to the road we were going on. My cousin just drove straight and didnt notice the car on the right so he just accelerated to not get hit but then another car is in front so he slams the brakes and we almost crashed and that's when he decided to stop texting. At frist I didn't think it was a problem for him to be texting but after what happened I don't like him texting and driving because I feel like his going to crash.

Reaction Time Homework
Reaction time is how fast you can respond to a certain situation. An example of being able to react in life is when your driving because if you are driving really fast and a random child runs onto the to road you have to be able to respond fast and stop or move so you don't hit the child. Another example is of being able to react is if you cross the road and see and car coming fast you need to be able to know what to do really fast are you could get hit by the car. A final example is if your playing dodgeball and you see a ball coming at you need to be able to react fast enough to catch the ball or dodge it.
