Thing that use the metric units are:
1. When you buy light bulbs it says how many watts they are.
2. At the doctors they use the metric system to weigh you.
3. Most computer use the metric system to measure the data you have like gigabytes and megabytes.
I think they use the metric system because it is more accurate on data and it is also easier to convert the measurements into different units.
I'm not sure any of those are metric. We are looking for things that are around the house and measured in Liters (L) or grams (g).
